You are invited to "A Night of Music with Two Old Friends"
on Wednesday, June 13, at 7 p.m.
at the Tuck Museum. The program is brought to you by the Hampton Historical Society and New Hampshire Humanities.
Join Emery Hutchins (left) and Jim Prendergast, who will perform traditional Celtic music and American country music from the early 20th century. Through stories, songs, and instrumental melodies, they will demonstrate how old time American mountain tunes were often derived directly from the songs of the Irish, yet were influenced by other cultural groups to create a new American sound.
The two old friends play the concertina, bodhran, mandolin, octave mandolin, guitar and banjo.
The performance will take place in the historic Leavitt barn
on the Tuck Museum grounds. The program is free and all are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
