Hampton Center - labeled

Before 1900, the railroad tracks went straight across Exeter Rd - i.e. there was no overpass. The overpass was constructed in 1900. To accomodate it, several buildings were moved from the south side of Exeter Rd to the east side of Lafayette Rd. Other buildings on the south side were moved to other locations around town.

Buildings A, B, and E are shown in photos below in their old and new locations.
