The Barn - During Disassembly, Part 3
The first step was done with Unitil's help - removing the pegs holding the frame together (temporary support brackets were added to hold the frame together).
Next, a crane was used to carefully remove each piece. This had to be done without affecting the stability of the remaining pieces. Again, temporary support boards were added and removed as needed to accomplish this.
The pictures are a chronological sequence, starting with the removal of the pegs, next the ridgepole, and then one large triangular section of the main roof supports. The last few pictures are just some interesting shots taken while the work was in progress.
