We are an independent, non-profit organization. Our sources of income are memberships, donations, fundraising, and bequests. The money is used for collection care, education programs, building and maintenance. Donations are fully tax-deductible.

There are 2 funds to donate to. You can mail in a donation by filling out the Donation form. You can also donate online via PayPal. You can specify an exact amount on the form or the PayPal screens.

The funds are:

  1. Operating Fund
  2. Building Fund
A Matching Gift Program has been established, thanks to generous anonymous donors, that will enable us to triple the value of each donation to the Building Fund thru June 2015 on a dollar to dollar basis, up to a total $55,000. Click here for more info.
See below for an explanation of these funds.

Donation Funds

Operating Fund

This fund is for the normal day-to-day operation of the Society and Museum.

Building Fund

An important goal of the Society is to be prepared for the next few decades and this means an expansion into a 2500 sq. ft. office suite near the center of Hampton on estate property of former merchant, Joshua A. Lane. This location will serve as our much-needed Collections & Research Center (CRC), taking the pressure off the overcrowded space at the Tuck Museum on Park Ave. Please consider making a donation to the Building Fund either personally, in memory of your family, or as a business sponsor.
